Hey, the sum of these two is -1/8. You can use the LCD of 8 and go from there.

The sum is -1/8

Find the LCM for 4 and 8 , which is 8 , then Multiply -3 by 2 because 4*2 =8 and then add the 5 giving you a -1

-1/8
