Calculate h(1):

h(a) = 2a - 4 → h(1) = 2(1) - 4 = 2 - 4 = -2

Next calculate g(-2):

g(a) = a - 5 → g(-2) = -2 - 5 = -7

Answer: g(h(1)) = -7
