let's take a peek if that's so.


27 ÷ 3  = 9

27 ÷ 3 ÷ 9 => 9 ÷ 9 = 1

let's now change the order

9 ÷ 3 ÷ 27

9 ÷ 3 = 3, so 9 ÷ 3 ÷ 27 is 3  ÷ 27 = 0.1111111111111....

low and behold, we changed them about, and notice the different quotient.

recall, by order of operations, divisions are done from left-to-right.
