What is the slope of y=-2x-3

Think of it in terms of the general equation for a line:

[tex]y=mx+c[/tex]

Where [tex]m[/tex] is the slope.

If you are given [tex]y=-2x-3[/tex] then, the -2 must be the [tex]m[/tex].

Therefore, the slope for the line is -2.

The slope of the line would be -2.

And remember. The one rule to find the slope of two given points is: y=mx+b
