The Babylonians wanted to spread their beliefs to the rest of the world. Like most other cultures, the Babylonians wanted to spread their religious beliefs. They did this by recording their stories and telling them to other people. They felt that their beliefs was the that was right, so they wanted to spread that knowledge to others.
