David bought a box of peanuts. The box weighed 3/4 of a pound. He ate 1/5 of a pound of peanuts that night. How much did David have left over?

Answer:

3/4=75%

75%/5=15%

15% of a pound is 0.15 pound. 75% of a pound is 0.75 pound. If David ate 0.15 pound of the 0.75 pound then he has 0.60 pound left. 0.75-0.15=0.6
