Why do states have the same number of representatives in the senate but different numbers in the house of representatives?.

Answer:

In order to keep the interests of small and large states balanced, the framers divided congress between the 2 houses, having only 2 senators so that they would input their ties into the government, and representatives because i stated, they needed to keep the interests of the small and large states balanced.
