probability=number of specific outcomes/number of total possible outcomes...there are 16 pieces in all.

So the probability of picking a king is 1/16

And the probability of picking a pawn is 8/16=1/2

The probability of these two events happening in a row is:

P(k)*P(p)=(1/16)(1/2)=1/32
