The answer is all of the above. Under the strict apartheid laws people could be banned and could be sent to prison without a trial. This was a law that was institutionalized from 1948 to 1994. What this law basically insists is that all people should be classified and segregated by race in South Africa. They will be classified as blacks, whites, colored, or Indians.
