The Puritan inquisition was launched and officials hunting for witches in old Salem were sent when a young girl pretended to be afflicted having wild fits along with convulsions. The young girl was one of the original girls to commencethe witchcraft accusations. The reasons whythe start of the accusations were somewhat unclear.
