How do particles of solids,liquids, and gases differ?

Solids have a definite volume and shape, liquids have a definite volume but not shape, and gas has no definite volume or shape.

Solids- stuck together, hardly moving
Liquid- like solids, together but slide pass one another
Gases- are everywhere, they bounce back when they hit an end point
