The three factors are the sun, the atmosphere, and the ocean. The sun puts thermal energy (sunlight) into the atmosphere. It is also carried into the oceans. The water will heat and evaporate, putting more salt into the atmosphere and making the air dense. The heating of the ocean also can create waves which can change the climate.
