Solve for y in one of the equations.

4x + y = 11
Subtract 4x from both sides.
y = -4x + 11

Substitute y in the other equation.

8x + 2(-4x + 11) = 13
Simplify.
8x + -8x + 22 = 13
Subtract 22 from both sides.
0 = -9

No solutions.
