The first thing we must do for this case is calculate the number of wedges.
 We have then:
 N = (6) / (1/6)
 N = 36
 We now calculate how many wedges the children ate:
 (3/4) * (36) = 27
 The amount of wedges remaining is:
 36-27 = 9
 Answer:
 there are 9 wedges left.
