using 2 of the known points:

(1,8) and (2,16)
 slope =  16-8 / 2-1 = 8/1 = 8

equation = y=mx+b

m = slope

so you have y = 8x +b
 use y1 to solve for b  from (1,8) y1 = 8

so 8 +b = 8

b = 0

 so equation is y =8x
The correct answer is y = 8x!
